The Orlando unemployment office goes by the name of Workforce Central Florida, a state level organization that receives federal money. In addition to providing assistance to unemployed Floridians in filing unemployment claims, receiving unemployent benefits and finding jobs, the center provides a number of related services to benefit jobless workers in and around Orlando; such as preparing effective resumes, obtaining job training and GEDs, and improving English language skills. The unemployment office has touch tone phones so that visitors may call in information to the state of Florida through the automated phone system. Personal computers with internet access are available for filing claims for unemployment compensation online, as well as to search job banks for available work, and to post resumes for prospective employers to see. Fax machines are also provided for faxing resumes and other forms. Personal assistance in filing claims is currently only provided in English.
The Orlando office provide assistance for those needing instruction on how to file or update claims using phone systems or the Florida online unemployment benefits system. Veterans' representative are available by prior appointment. The office is currently open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M., and on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.

Note: Orlando also has what is called a "JobVantage" center at 1563 Florida Mall Avenue. It provides NO real UI assistance of any kind to the unemployed. They just distribute trinkets and present "lectures" about things like using Facebook. Don't waste your time there.
